Insulation Owners Edge is an independent publication for people who own insulation companies. It is not a directory and it is not a lead-selling site. Nothing here is ranked for money.

Who writes it

Steven Von is the editor. For the past several years he has run growth campaigns for local service businesses, insulation contractors among them, and has sat in enough estimate kitchens and truck cabs to know what the sales pitches aimed at this trade leave out. Mostly they leave out numbers. So this site is built around numbers that can be checked.

How the benchmark data is collected

The benchmark report is computed from public Google Business Profile listings in the insulation contractor category. The current pull covers 10,103 listings across 51 states. Listings are deduplicated by name, phone and address, so a company with three service-area profiles counts once. Review counts, star ratings, website presence, hours and photo counts are read as they appear on the public listing on the day of the pull. Nothing is self-reported.

The data is refreshed monthly. When it refreshes, every number on this site updates with it, which is why guides refer to "the median" rather than a fixed figure that would go stale.

The data cannot tell you how much revenue a company does or whether its reviews are honest. Treat it as a map of how the trade presents itself on Google.

Editorial rules

  • No pay-to-play. No company, product or vendor is featured because it paid.
  • Every claim is either sourced, computed from the dataset, or clearly marked as the editor's opinion.
  • Prices are given as ranges because insulation pricing varies by region, material cost and crew size. No single number is a promise.
  • No invented results. If a guide says what "working" looks like, it describes a measurable state, not a client story.
  • Plain language. If a sentence would sound strange said out loud to a foreman at 6:45 a.m., it gets rewritten.

How the free 14-day trial works

Every growth service described on this site can be tried free for 14 days. Google Ads, Meta ads, reviews, the website, missed-call text-back, email and SMS, bookkeeping, cold-call appointment setting, and the rest. You pick one. We set it up and run it for two weeks. No card is taken. Nothing renews on its own.

At the end of the 14 days you see what happened: calls, form fills, quotes booked, reviews added. If you want it to continue, you say so and we agree a monthly price. If you do not, it stops and you owe nothing.

The trial exists because insulation owners have been burned by contracts sold on promises. Six-month agreements, setup fees, a dashboard full of impressions and no booked attics. We would rather earn the second month than sell the first one. Text or call the number on this site to start, or read the FAQ first.

Try any marketing service free for 14 days.

Pick anything we do. We run it for your insulation company for two full weeks at no cost, then you decide. No card, no contract, nothing to cancel.
